Characteristics:
A yellowy-orange mobile liquid with a blue-violet hint, having an intensely sweet, almost floral citrus scent. It blends well with other citrus oils, especially neroli, and with spice oils such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove.

Principal Constituents:   These are naturally occuring in the essential oil.

Antispasmodic, carminative, digestive, diuretic, laxative, sedative, stimulant tonic.

Safety:
Non-toxic, non-irritant, nonsensitizing, possibly phototoxic, although it has not been demonstrated decisively.

Primary Therapy Agent:
Acne, congested and oily skin, scars, spots, stretch marks, toner, fluid retention, obesity, digestive problems, hiccoughs, insomnia, nervous tension, restlessness.

Secondary Therapy Agent:
Soaps, cosmetics. It is often used for children and pregnant women, and is recommended in synergistic combinations with other citrus oils. It is employed as a flowering agent especially in confectionery, soft drinks, and liqueurs.
