Use as a digestive stimulant to soothe the stomach and relieve digestive disturbance. Can also be used to calm excessive nervousness and improve concentration. The clean, refreshing scent of verbena has been cherished in the past and used in many perfumes.

Characteristics:
A pale olive or yellow mobile liquid with a sweet, fresh, lemony, fruity-floral fragrance. It blends well with neroli, palmarosa, frankincense, balsams, elemi, lemon and other citrus oils.

Principal Constituents:   These are naturally occuring in the essential oil.

Antispasmodic, carminative, detoxifying, digestive, febrifuge, hepatobilliary, stimulant, sedative (nervous), stomachic.

Safety:  
Possible sensitization, phototoxicity due to high citral levels. Otherwise nontoxic.

Secondary Therapy Agent:
Cramp, gastric spasm, indigestion, flatulence, liver congestion, anxiety, insomnia, stress-related conditions.
